A little early?! LOL, you win the award for earliest choice yet! Good one though, as I've been craving some good Chinese food. We'll see you there.
 
Having a late lunch/early dinner with neighbors; not going to make it.

Mish is in Italy so she won't be there either.
 
We shoot for 1800, but some folks don't show up until closer to 1830. Chuy's has great chip 'n' dip though, so we'll probably be closer to 1800, LOL.
 
Went with Michelle to pick up her bike from the fabricators who built a custom trailer hitch for it by Fairfield. We took her new mc trailer so she could ride back towing the trailer. We found out when the trailer is empty, it will drift side to side when she went a little over 60 mph. So, we rode the frontage road until it ran out about 10 miles north of Madisonville we got back on the interstate and stopped at Buc-ee’s in Madisonville. She had forgotten the keys to the trailer so there was no way to open it up. I knew it needed more weight so it would track better. We had an old mc tire we use when hauling the trailer in the back of her truck to keep it from rubbing the front of the bed. I had brought a fist full of tywraps and I used them to secure the tire to the top of the trailer and we put a couple gallon jugs of water inside of the tire to add weight. We stapled a bag full of stuff and 2 more gallon water jugs on the platform on the tongue as well. That weight was enough to steady the trailer up to 70mph. We hit the Woodlands right about 6:00pm and stopped at a cigar shop to rest and let the traffic die down. Left out of there around 7:30pm and had to make one more stop on the Beltway to put one of the water jugs back on the platform. It was hanging about 5 inches off the road and the tie-down was the only thing holding on to it. If it would have broke off, it would have hit the road right in front of her right trailer tire. Thank God I noticed it before it happened.
The heat was brutal up to when we stopped at the cigar shop and I was worried about her dehydrating. We got home just before 9:00pm.
If you ever need any fabrication to a bike, I can’t give a higher recommendation than Texas Side Car Company in Teague (about 15 miles from I-45, at roughly the same distance up I-45 as Farfield). Sam’s restaurant at Fairfield was one of the destinations in the original monthly end-of-month ride.
