It looks like it could be fun; scary, but fun. "I replaced the seals in the front shocks, but they still leak. I don't know much about motorcycle shocks.". Bet he replaced the dust seals and not the actual fork seals. Redneck engineering at it's finest!
"Scary but fun" is the perfect description. Definitely something to hurt yourself on. :flip:

Might be worth a go if the motor turns over freely...

1980 Honda XR500

Selling my 1980 Honda XR500 dirt bike.

Doesn’t run currently, think it’s the plug wire or coil but don’t have time to mess with it. Was running a few months ago but messed with come wires under the tank and hasn’t worked since.

Brand new front and rear tires, sealed tank that has had two holes “fixed” at the bottom.

Message if interested, FIRM on price

Someone spent a lot of time on that. As pretty as it is, he'll have a tough time getting that kind of money for it. And, yeah I think they were still using that same suspension in 2001 when they built my XR200R.

Great little XR250 with street title.

And another one...not as nice, but much cheaper

Usually, I can see those FB ads without having an account; but, for some reason, those 2 require a login.
Weird. I posted from my phone, might have screwed something up.

Those two ads have been taken down, they were as soon as I saw them yesterday. So FB can't display a nonexistent page, and it's just showing you the login page.

One ad is still up, but one said "pending" an hour ago and is now gone.

Seller's description
2001 Honda XR250R street legal clean title in my name with current registration
Starts first kick, zero issues

This here is an amazing bike, perfect for around town and capable to get you through any trail you throw at it. Starts first kick every time, maintained regularly. No leaks whatsoever.

Recent oil change/filter, carb clean, good tires, it won’t need any service for another year. Brand new plastic kit that I put on before listing it, original will be included. Upgraded capacity tank.

Currently has street tires but I will include a dirt set for it
ROX 2” risers, far bar Carmichael bend, bell tail bag. Brand new seat cover

This was my get around town bike, I’ve done a little gravel road riding but it hasn’t been abused.

These are very rare to have on road titles, and this one is registered for the next year.

Price is OBO, but I believe I’ve priced it fairly.
Located in Dallas by love field, let me know if you have any questions!

This is rare to find in decent condition. Bonded title, but not a real issue, in my opinion.

I haven't personally had the pleasure of riding with this guy but he's part of the Houston adv riders. 6,000 asking.

Yep, saw that. Now though, the Ducati guys have gotten involved and ruined the whole thing.
