Need to replace water pump seals on a CR450, never done it. How big of a deal is this? And please don't rag on me, I do some stuff myself but not a mechanic! Weeping out the peep hole. Thinking of trying it myself.

Getting the job done the first time, no leaks, no impeller grinding the cover or case is largely dependent on having the proper bearing and seal drives, and the service manual.

Have folks done it a youtube vid, claw hammer and some sockets ,,sure, some have......many have not had such good luck.

You could save yourself some labor time by removing the right side cover and taking it to a trusted mechanic to replace the water pump components as an option. For parts I highly recommend OEM only..
