Demo events? Please post

Lots of demo rides at COTA this weekend. Most brands will be starting around 9:00 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. My experience tells me that you can get a demo ride earlier if you talk nice to the guys in charge. I'll be at the CFMOTO pit.

How are you liking the new wheels so far?

I've been busy the last two weeks, so haven't been off-road yet. It's NOT going to be as good as my DRZ in sand or as good as my Vstrom on the highway, but watch for those two to be listed in "For Sale" later this year. On my way to the Hill Country right now.

Thank you

I always hear folks talk about demo events after they are over and they always sound like fun.

I did not see a running post for this so I thought we could start one. Feel free to post any events you know of coming up in the future for others to find.

Dirt or street work. We don't discriminate......
I was getting all excited until I saw the dates. Lmao

550-miles of I-45/US-75. You really want to ride a Suzuki. They do look like nice bikes. Let us know your impressions.

Dang, I might've tried to make this if I'd known, I'd like to have done a demo on the GT+.

Local for me, so I might get in there. But I too travel the State for my hobbies, because that's what we do. Be safe.

Made it back, the 1000GX+ was terrible.

Funny thing, each individual part like the brakes, steering, seat, gear box, quick shifter, engine, etc, were quite good. The bad ergonomics, and 5 million buttons and settings just made it less than the sum of it's parts. Far less than the sum of it's parts.

You perch up high away from the center of mass so when you turn you feel like you are following the mass of the bike rather than moving as one unit. I prefer bikes you sit IN not on top of. The foot pegs are to high to be comfortable for more than 30 minutes or so. The steering is very quick like a sport bike, but to twitchy or nervous to rack up hundreds of miles in a straight line in comfort.

The engine mopes below 4500 rpm and then turns into a beast at 5000. You have to babysit it either by keeping the revs up, or by short shifting to keep it in the chill range.

I guess I should not say it was terrible. Just it is not for me and I have no idea who it is for.
