Anyone in Houston have the know how and time to help me replace fork seals? And I'll gladly pay a fair fee. Thanks
Yes sir, just did it. Not real confident. LolI'm sure you are familiar with this process, but I would sure try this route first:
Don't forget they come in different sizes.
I'd buy the 49mm! Then you'll have it. I have fork bleeders on it and regularly release pressure. I tried the cleaning, just haven't had a chance to ride it. I thought I was retired, lol! Maybe take it out Sunday after Church.Rob … just saw you needed help and I would be happy too. Ran to garage and I have 43mm, 46/47 and 47/48 seal drivers (I have become older and wiser changing many fork seals). Let me see if they will work on your 49mm forks.
Until them make sure and bleed the air and drop the wiper. Clean both the wiper and seal face. Run a business card around just under the seal lip. I will get back with you on doing your seals tomorrow.
Hold tight … checking with my other Honda friends to see if they have one.I'd buy the 49mm! Then you'll have it. I have fork bleeders on it and regularly release pressure.
