1st bike in '78..then a switch to Yamaha's until the VX in '95.Then the TDM in 2000.A procession of bikes followed

The Stroms have been by far... the most satisfyin bike for all sorts of riding..... If you can only have one bike.TEN YEARS & COUNTING..
From the 02 DL1K I bought in 03 til the 06 650 I have now with 75K showing.

The six bikes I owned all at the same time.... well...they were the TDM FJR DL1K#2 VISION KLX & DL650#1.... too many ta keep track of

Well....I guess its time for an update.....
After the 06 Strom "GoldFender" had racked up 84k miles...it was time for a change
2011 DL650A bought from Duchess and ridden till it had 33k or so

2013 Super Tenere bought in PA with 1300 miles...sold a year n a half later with 34k
2012 Versys which didnt get ridden much.bought from College Station
2012 DL650 bought from PlaneDr Plano
Amazingly..it didnt get ridden a whole lot
Traded at 28k
2014 Husky TR650 Terra...it sat in the garage until sold. bought from Kyle
2014 Super Ten bought a year after the first Ten with 16K....traded in January 2020 with 44K bought from Red Rock
2007 Triumph Scrambler...fun engine... suspension...not so fun on small roads...traded bought from MS
For this...
2009 Guzzi Stelvio...fun engine....thirsty engine...small tank...traded bought in AR
2014 Tenere #3 the blue one I have now
20K & counting bought Georgetown
1992 Suzy Bandit 400....I dont kno why
But its ubercool bought Nemo
2014 Strom 1000....like the blue Ten
22K & counting bought in Austin...............somebody want a Bandit??

The order in which these were bought escapes me....all I remember is tradin the lo mile Bandit 1200 on a hi mile 99 Drifter after tryin ta sell said Bandit for flippin ever....the Drifter sold in a flash....?

Im also missin any pics of a 2002 Concours which was the first bike I tried to replace the departed FJR.....no cigar...the Connie lasted a week & it was gone...replaced by a more fitting almost FJR ...the Trophy 1200

If you nitice...the white Tenere appears to appear twice....but look closely...ones the 13...the other the first 14 with panels/tank & fender swapped

Props ta Rick M for that....& the fantastic deal he gave me....Man I wish I coulda kept it.... Thats Rick in action on the Alp

The 92 Bandit I got from Doug was pretty well sorted too....mabe not as pretty paint wise...but mechanically mahvaleous

Jarrett...I traded the lo mile 12 Versys on that 07 Scrambler...loved the engine on backroads...not so much on the superslab
Liked the ride on the superslab...not the goatpaths....arrrggh
The Guzzi replaced it

Too old to remember. First had a 3hp Tecumseh. 57 years later riding a 28-year old Nighthawk 750. A few I do remember, like the bored and stroked XL250 in high school, the custom with standard ergos with a 383cid Chevrolet V8, the almost stock engine TW200 that carried me on several Saddle Sores and Bun Burners, the Yoshimura CB750 SOHC with RJ stroker in Rickman roadrace frame and plastics with lights and horn added to the bodywork, the Powerroll stroker in the SL125 under a Yoshimura magnesium top end cranking a Yoshimura 6-speed, the TW200 bored and stroked to 276cc set up like a café racer for slinging around the low speed paved roads in western North Carolina and along the loess bluffs paralleling the Mississippi River in Tennessee and Kentucky, … . Hmmm? Stock sucks, I suppose. Most I've forgotten must have been stock.
