Nope! I would say its because gravity loves me too much and you should never take a dodgy thing like that higher than you want to fall. But, the real reason is the environment. I can just hear an angry Norwegian school drop-out shouting “how dare you!” at the levels of pollution that thing makes...

Not good.

Remember the battery post that was all melted?
It's because of this bit of "engineering".

Let me describe ... that is a 5/16 self-tapping sheet metal screw with a stud welded on top.
So I cleaned it up and tapped a bolt into the hole that was left. It's snug ...

And this is what most of the cable ends and wiring splices look like ....

So I need to source a few cable and maybe some bigger self tapping screws.
