East Texas 450 (500 + actually) Nov 11-13 2011

Thank you everyone for letting me and Clay come and play with you all. We had a blast and both of us agreed that we want to get much more involved in future rides and events. I was able to record some footage on day two with the little Go-Pro I borrowed from my buddy but the third day footage is a wash as the SD card malfunctioned and we can't seem to be able to access the data as of yet. It may be there it may not. We'll see.

Gary and Silvi, I look forward to riding with both of you again, either in the dirt or even perhaps I can get you two on some fun vintage cafe racers one weekend. Lee thank you so much for putting up with my brash humor and my rather aggressive riding style. Also thanks for not getting too PO'd for all the turns I over shot at breakneck speeds. LOL.

It was great to meet and ride with everyone, I really look forward to other rides soon. As the weather turns colder, I'd like to make a few middle TX events if there are any planned. Either way to everyone I had the pleasure of talking with this weekend thanks and stay in touch.

I'll post some videos in the next week or so.

It was really nice meeting you Travis, we certainly hope we will see you again soon.. Do you ever get down to Austin? Do keep in touch and see you soon.

I had an awesome time riding with everyone. Great weather, great camping. A really sweet weekend. Thanks to Timbercat for putting this together and Patrick for driving the chase truck. That was a nice luxury.

I took a few pics I can add.

A stop at Lake Sam Rayburn just before lunch on day one.

Another day one break.

Nine Mile Road at the start of day two was a blast.

That's Patrick who drove the chase trunk on the left. That KTM was brand new, still had the dealer tag on it. I think it would be a lot of fun to ride. 450cc and only 250lbs.

Here's my bike looking very happy.

Day three break. I thought these red dirt roads made for some great riding. I was a beautiful site seeing everyone roosting up the red dirt in the turns.

Pulled up on this scene towards the last half of day three. Luckily no harm done to rider or bike. Got it out of the ditch without too much trouble and every one moved on.

My GPS showed 513 miles for the weekend. My longest trip yet and I absolutely loved it. I really look forward to doing some more.:rider:

Really enjoyed my first group ride. Thanks to all, especially Lee and Patrick. I learned a great deal about what to pack, where to pack it, and above all, the importance of sufficient tire tread. Enjoyed meeting Joe, Pete, Clay, Travis, Gary and Sylvie, Steve, and all the others whose names I can't recall. Take care, and I hope to see you down the road.

I do hope we will see you again soon.

Enjoying the videos and pics - ride was great, definitely something I'll do again. Thanks to all who have the cameras and document this stuff - the rest of us lazy bums ought to at least do a little so that you could have record of yourself on the trip as well as everybody else.

This was shot on day 2 and is right after the Nine Mile road section. Gary and Silvie, Lee and the TW200 twins were in my group that day. Not long after this we had a flat on one of the two TW200's and were forced to cut short the ride by a fair bit to get to the next town/gas stop.

Enjoy!

How do I post videos? I'm at a loss. I posted it to Vimeo and it works fine and tried to "embed" it here and all its showing is the code.

Just post this part of all that mess you posted...

<---http://vimeo.com/32211246--->

But without the dashes and arrows (had to include those so it would not automatically embed the vid).

I edited your original post to fix it.

Just post the link to the vid, not the embed code.

Scott beat me to it and with updated info. :)

You can also use the "flash tags"

[-flash-] enter http adress [/flash] without the dashes in the first set of brackets.

Just a note about using flash. Apple devices such as iPhone and iPad can't view it. I love my iPhone and iPad but really wish Apple would get over its problem with Flash so we user can see all these great ride video.
