Ice comes out in about 15 min in the sun if you put it big end down. Fit up on the bike nicely, looking forward to getting her going.
 
It seems the ice repair is an evolution of small victories. The ice only moves so much, then you have to repeat the cycle. Depending on the size of the dent it could take more freeze cycles. But the key is to secure the end plugs so the ice will push the pipe and not the plugs. I am very happy with the final result, I would recommend this method. Of course, freezer size may limit you depending on what you freeze.

seen where they manufacture musical horn instruments like this when making the bends to support the tube walls. good stuff
