One cannot manage the unmeasured. Think about how many spy devices you had in your home in 2000. How many do you have today.

Have you ever counted how many cameras you see through 3 or 4 traffic lights. Give it a try.
 
They have added one out here by us. I wonder who they are looking for? The far north end of Waller county. I wonder how long before it gets ran over.

They are looking for the ricky racers going around those cornors on 362 at 35 mph
 
Check out this flock camera incident. I didn't realize they do sound as well as video...and apparently shot sensors in some.

Mo surprise that it has that ability. Hilarious that they are still trying to claim that the cameras do not track people. A claim that is technically true in the sense that ONE camera cannot track you. They leave out the part about how images from multiple cameras can be used to track where you go and when because ALL of the data goes to one location where it can be analyzed :roll: They have REALLY been pushing the crime fighting angle though. Maybe that is why local, state, and federal gov have been so lax on crime in recent years, prepping the mental battlefield so to speak for the introduction of full blown surveillance. Get people so desperate to do something about crime that they will gladly give up their rights for perceived safety (as opposed to actual safety) :wary:

BornAgain, good to know on the book. I know every book, movie, story line, etc., doesn't have to have a "It's a Wonderful Life" happy ending, but man...provide an ending that has some reasonable and maybe logical end...or even an open end that makes some imaginative sense. The movie version of High Castle seemed like Tom Clancy started the script and then a woke AI finished it. Very unfortunate.

While annoying and bad, that is not the biggest problem. This was kind of the point of the video I pointed by the TRex guy. The goal is the whole database of information about all your devices, not just your license plate. This will be a treasure trove worth billions and it WILL be sold to anyone and everyone with the $$ to buy it, including government and private entities.

My research indicates this has been the goal for more than 7,000 years.

As a kid in the 1970's I was a member of that Science Fiction "book of the month club", so I attempted to read a lot of Philip K. Dick, and failed.

I noticed one yesterday placed right at the line, and you leave Grimes and head into Brazos County. I don't care if the track me or see me. 1st, I'm not doing anything that would normally bring their attention to me, and i don't feel like there are any right being violated with them. It's been legal to take a picture or video of anyone in public at any time. What's different than a camera on a pole or someone standing at the same spot making a video or taking a picture? Nothing. You might say it's what they do with the info. Are they counting how many time I come into Brazos county? I can already tell anyone, once a day, sometimes twice. I I leave the county the same amount of times. If anyone is thinking about breaking into my Alexa and getting a picture, I'll save them the trouble.

It is not a question of whether you have anything to hide. It is an issue of what it will become, an instrument of ensuring compliance with whatever ridiculous dictates our "elite" overloads dream up on any given day. Never forget your Miranda rights, "WHATEVER you say CAN and WILL be used AGAINST you..." Note that they don't say or, "to HELP you." That is not by accident. Prosecutors are notorious for hiding exculpatory evidence. It is NOT about keeping us safe from criminals or even catching criminals. It is about keeping the masses in check. The government is clearly not that worried about everyday low life criminals. They are a small percentage of the population and not a real thread to the power of our masters ;-)
 
Man, check this one out. The guy featured in the report is one of those very vocal critics of his local government. We all know the type, not that there's anything wrong with that. Anyhow, after repeatedly stirring the pot at city council meetings and the like, the cops started using Flock cameras to follow him virtually everywhere he went. He filed the paperwork to see how many times he had been tracked and by which officers, and the results were pretty crazy:

In the local area of three small towns here the cameras have provided critical evidence to identify and capture scumballs after a couple hit and runs and 7/11 robberies in recent times. Young teens out in the wee am hours doing dirty deeds has become a real issue. And they all seem to have stolen guns. Where are mom and dad,,, oops, where is mom?

His isn't an isolate incident. A YT personality who's very vocal against FLOCK one day had one installed basically in his front yard. It was positioned in a way that it basically knew anytime he came or left his home.

IMO their ability to assist capture criminals does not outweigh their ability to be misused by the government and dudes/dudettes in blue. They're already proving they're incapable of using them responsibly. You give them a fraction of an inch to make their jobs easier and they'll go 10 miles though waist deep snow uphill both ways to use it to violate people's rights.

Even without FLOCK if you are vocal against the local government or PD you'll find dispatch notes if you ever get ran though a database or someone is dispatched to your address showing you are potentially "violent against police and government".

This is always the case.

Sometimes my Gun-Nut friends seem extreme in their resistance to Saving the Children gun control measures, but then I remember it's like a ratchet.

Click click click in only one direction. Horrific bloody rebellions are the only way it ever gets reset back to less Tyranny.

Better to not go there in the first place, regardless of the obvious benefits.
