We had a good crew from DFW visit the Frio Pecan Farm in the middle of January and the weather gods smiled on us.
Rented some cabins on the Frio River on FM 337 just East of town. I'm so sure you've ridden by it dozens of times.
Our biggest cabin had 4 rooms with 2 beds and a private bath in each. Large open kitchen and living area easily made room for the eight riders we had show up. Other riders rented smaller cabins that actually looked the log cabin part. Middle of winter we had the place to ourselves .
And speaking of the place to ourselves, we also had the hills to ourselves. Only saw one other small group of 4 bikes on the "Sisters" that were headed in an opposite rotation.
Practically no auto traffic either, and the only lawman I saw was the Constable that sits under the trees on 337 just West of Medina. You know him. He's almost always in that spot.
One day we took the Rocksprings loop down to Bracketteville and over to Uvalde and back.
Did a more South-Easterly route the following day and hit 1050, 470 and some of the tiny Elm Pass II loop-roads that are a little South of Center Point.
Some of the crew rode down, some trailered but all stayed upright and had a fun time.
Great tim

That place look awesome. Need to take the family for a stay sometime.

Stayed there once with extended family in different cabins. The night before the day we were to leave there was a huge rain and the river flooded. The cabins are are on the high side and we were safe, just couldn’t leave. We stayed an extra night free.
