Gadgets that live with your bike?

12 volt compressor and plug kit. used this weekend! Lifesaver for tubeless tires.
Cut off the cig adaptor on the harborfreight inflator and used sae style connector directly battery. It blew my cig plug fuse so had to use more direct connection to battery

A 12v/USB outlet with on/off switch. Mounts on the handlebar, it's great for charging phones or powering air pumps.

Li-On jump start battery pack - about the size of a paperback novel, good for small cars and motorcycles, also a USB for charging a phone

I'd be interested in learning more about this setup, especially the remote display. I don't know much about the V1 but have heard it is very extensible.

There are 3 components that I run under the seat (Direct wire module, BOB (Brown out booster, and remote audio module). I have a bluetooth transmitter that plugs into the remote audio module. I originally started running the valentine one without the remote audio but I found that I was being distracted too much by constantly visually scanning the remote display on the dash so the remote audio and bluetooth transmitter solved that problem. I run the remote display because I run the main unit on the bars and can't see the display very well at that angle. It was a ***** getting all this stuff to fit on my new Tuono. It doesn't have much in the way of a tail or storage under the seat.

Escort 8500 X50 radar detector, CyclePump tire inflator & USB power outlet in the tank bag are always with me on the mighty K12S.

What are you using for the Bluetooth transmitter? I'm getting a Sena soon & would like to get the radar detector warning audio through my earbuds.

A pair of lock pliers and a nail with a bent tip. The pliers are - well, pliers, and you need those. Because of their weight, they make a decent hammer - great for driving tent pegs into hard ground or pulling them out. And a friend of mine dumped his Buell on a gravel road, broke off the shifter, and made it home, very carefully using a pair of lock pliers as a replacement shifter. The pliers will also handily lift a tin can off a camp stove without your getting your fingers burnt.

The bent nail? Lock the pliers onto the nail and it becomes a multi-tool. An obvious application on a bike is to stretch a spring if necessary. But it's also handy reaching down into a crevasse where you accidentally dropped something and can't quite reach it.

Does your setup allow you to mute the alarm? I have a similar but different setup that does everything but that. Really annoying sitting at a light if radar is nearby.

+1 to the 12v compressor and plug gun; handy stuff to have.

I love this M/C TPMS I found- cheap and effective, gives me a good comfort level on tire pressures while riding.

Simple air gauge

Rugged Geek Battery

Basic tire plug kit found at almost any gas station/convenience store.

Spare tubes and tire tools on my KTM.

All my tools that go with me on the BMW and KTM. Other than the obvious wrenches and such, I also carry an assortment of zip ties, about 6 feet of stainless steel wire, and some Water Weld putty (like JB weld Playdoh).

RAM mount for my Garmin Montana 600, also goes on both bikes.

Full set of spare keys for both bikes and hard luggage go in my jacket.

Sena 20S communicators

The communicator ties to my iPhone via BlueTooth, so I use it whether I am alone or riding with one of my kids. The helmet they use also has one installed.

Travel pack of wet wipes. These are the little packs with 30 wipes that lay flat and fit in a jacket breast pocket real well. They come in very handy for all sorts of uses. For emergencies in the middle of no where... they pack smaller and work better than toilet paper :trust: They are nice to have after you finish messing with a flat tire/punctured tube as well.

I always have my iPhone with me as well, but it just stays in my jacket pocket. I don't mount it to the bars like some folks.

Ear plugs. I ALWAYS ride with ear plugs. I keep some spares in a jacket pocket just in case I lose one or both of the set I happen to be using at the moment.

Yes. The V1 has 2 volume controls.... normal and muted. You simply tap the main control and it will send it to the muted volume. I also have my unit setup to ignore x band and to start off with a muted volume on k until it hits a certain strength/duration. V1's are definitely a techie's detector. You have to tune the settings to quiet them down but they do have the best laser detection of the bunch and you can't beat the dual antennas that give you direction indication of where the radar is.

Interesting. I use the V1 remote audio adapter through a Sena SR10 and haven't been able to mute. In the car without all that, just tap the button like you said.
Also wasn't aware I could adjust volume to ramp up based on strength/duration. Been a V1 user since the early 2000's, but admittedly mostly plug and play. I may pm you for more info if that's ok.

Back to OP, I also have a gps and Hondo phone mount mentioned earlier. Under the seat, tire repair kit with pump and a small tool kit.

Feel free to ask for more info/details. The muted volume control is that small control behind the main control knob. you will need to turn that down on the remote audio module. When you press the mute button on the detector... it will use that volume setting. When in the car I turn the volume all the way down on mute. When on the bike, I turn it down to a level where I can just barely hear it.
