GoPro really has gone downhill....

Yesterday I received a notice that my post of eight weeks ago to the GoPro Support Forum was finally replied to by a member of GoPro. They said they'd check into my case. I didn't hear back when I PM'd him, so I called GoPro CS just now.
They looked me up and said "please hold". They came back with a "one time exception" where I send in my non-op unit and they send me a refurb unit no charge and a FedEx label to get the old one back to them. Why didn't they do that months ago? Sheesh. At least I've got this one coming to me and we'll see how it works.
GoPro in my opinion is back on the more favorable side of the fence with me with this gesture. We'll see how this unfolds and works. Stay tuned.

You're just lucky those geese didn't jump you while in the kayak. Better yet, you might have cut yourself if a golf ball went awry. Didn't notice the gopro folks doing anything out of the ordinary though.

lol... that's NOT my video a few posts back. Just stumbled across it for what seems like the more probable scenario for most of us. Well, short of Tim and his VLog stuff. He's a wizard.

He called Go PRO and they walked him through the set up . That was it and it works.

Go Pros are outrageously expensive. I bought one of these off amazon for $60 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01CQSBVMO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. It worked fine for my trip to cancun. I probably won't do anything worthy enough to need to use it again for a while.

Today I received the FedEx return shipping label. So when my defective unit shows back up at the casa (another distinguished forum member offered to troubleshoot it), I'll box it up and ship it back and hopefully within a couple weeks have a refurb'd functioning unit to experiment with.
