I may have the skills to try it, maybe not make it, but I don't have the pocketbook for a bike that costs that much to toss it away. But sure appreciate his attempts.Capable bike in the right hands. Wish my hands were that capable.
Pretty sure I smelled vaporized clutch material a couple times.

This took 2.86 kilowatts...Looks like it would be a lot of fun an a KTM 350. Power to weight ratio is important... how much power does a body have to pick up the weight a bike on it's side?
Can't imagine. My X is 365 wet an loaded for a long desert run. I always seem to crash on something steep or slick or steep and slick. My only hope with a GS would be to slide it down the hill on its side to a flat spot. This took 2.86 kilowatts...

Maybe a sheep in wolfs clothing??? ... in this picture, rider is ensconced in the safety zone between the two yellow lines.I think thats a KTM on the ground it just looks red that thing is Orange. They dont make those GSA's in Orange.
I wouldn't say I really "picked" that line...Picking that line says a lot about that "adventurer". Hmmm.
Spectators do make for some really good traction. Learning to pick the older ones that can't move fast enough to get out of the way is the real skill that takes years of practice.Yep, understood. My point is that the higher with any vegetation is always a better choice than mud. Always! Forty + years of wet enduros has made a very firm imprint on my brain. Even better is where any spectators are standing.![]()
We got lucky! A local, at breakfast the next day, said we were lucky not to have driven over bushes with thorns that would have punctured our tires. Had that comment been ringing in our ears, we would have probably ridden through the mud to avoid the possibility of flats in the middle of no place.Yep, understood. That's a problem when getting off to the side, plus barb wire.We got lucky! Woodsguy said he is going to buy one if he can just sell that Koolaid.
