All this talk of freaking overgrown German Dakar wannabees inspired me to do some research to see what all the fuss was about.

They did! For 04, the sporty's are rubbermounted. No more numb hands, and, now you can actually USE the mirrors. Or, so Ive been told, havent ridden a new one yet.
