If you boys didn't make it to the harvest rally, let me show you something you missed.

Before they started playing, this guy sitting next to me asked if she could really sing or she got to front the band with her looks. I said "we're getting ready to find out". After the first line of her song we both just looked at each other with dropped jaws. They lady can sing on top of being gorgeous.

Oh yeah, there were bikes there too :)

We were there until two or so then headed to Bandera for a cabin and Mac and Ernies for dinner. I want the r900 that was for sale

A nice BMW, a Bultaco flat tracker, and a chrome Honda 305 scrambler.

Here's a few of the bikes.

This one was in the parking lot, it looks like the "lone rider of the apocalypse" bike in Raising Arizona.

Weather was Awesome!! the ride down was great, saw lots of cool bikes, in the show, and in the parking lot.
Also ran into a few other TWT folks enjoying the bikes and the great weather:sun:

Yep, fun day we took a friends GPZ550s and had a ball
I forgot how much fun these small bikes are

Re: 2009 Harvest Classic Rally

Boy, has this event grown since last time I went. I found Yeeha Stephen and Trinity but didn't use my head on finding others. Sbrogden, I didn't see any R80s. Ducaholic, I saw one yellow Monster but it had a stock headlight. I'll plan better next time.

Did see tons of Ducatis. Probably the most I have ever seen at one event.

Here are some pictures, mostly Italian machines of course.

And a great weekend it was. I too missed the honey in picture one. In post four, the BMW shown, was built by Perry of Ft. Worth. This vintage and classic thing could be contagious. Lots of bikes to drool over and many friends to visit with. ( and I missed several of ya'll) Rusty, I saw the Transalp and it was being admired. The BBQ was good last night and the movie they showed was good too. Did ya'll notice there weren't many domestic bikes with loud exhaust. Nice. I hope to see you there next year. Hardy

I tried to track you down Hardy. I saw your hack, but Ausfletch was the only one near it that I knew. He pointed you out across the field, but you were talking with the guys with the sidecar rigs in the show. By the time I wandered over you were gone. Then your bike was.

That's me sitting under the Ducati tent with legs crossed... My allergies were killing me!!! But a great time for sure. Met a bunch of guys, enjoyed conversation at the conv. store down the road with a couple brothers on their Thruxons and a nice guy from Plano on his BMW GS650. This was a fantastic weekend done right by the organizers, Ducati and all that attended.

My only complaint was the smell of cigar smoke everywhere. We left early because of it.

Non smoker here too. Don't like presence of it but don't think it would ruin an open air day of looking at old iron though.

Normally it wouldn't, but I just couldn't seem to get away from it. We were there for several hours, just decided to cut it short and ride for a while instead. Just a choice "A" vs. choice "B" thing.

Awesome event that has really grown into something fantastic. And as much fun as it is, don't forget about all the good that it does for charity. For those who don't know where the money goes/what it's all about, all proceeds raised through the Harvest Classic go to the Candlelighters program at Any Baby Can (based out of Austin). Candlelighters provides direct support for the families of children who are battling cancer. I can't imagine the depths of the needs that immediately arise when you find out your child is facing cancer. Where would you even begin? That is where Candlelighters comes in - to provide the support and education and resources for those families. What amazing people to be there for so many families in some of their darkest hours. All of us at Moto Liberty are honored to be able to play even a small part in supporting the Harvest Classic and Candlelighters.

Whether or not you made it to the Harvest Classic, if you'd like to support or find out more about this very worthy charity, you can follow the links at http://www.harvestclassic.org/candlelighters/index.html. I'm not affiliated with Harvest Classic management or the charity, I just want to be sure everyone is reminded of the big picture reason behind this great event.

Here's my "take" on the day.
