I may have said this before but As a highschool kid a friends dad Ken, bought a new cb 350. It was the baddest bike in town and every kid wanted one. Memories of Ken crossing a deep river on that bike with the pipe bubbleing under water will forever be with me. Ken was a Korean war vet turned missionary bush pilot of both a Cessna 206 with stoll wings and an old mash style helicopter.
Ken ended up retiring in Dallas and iv visited him several times. At 83 he rode a gold wing to the arctic circle, the last 20 miles were on the freshly graded and wet haul road.
At 87 he rode the gold wing to New York in January to a family reunion. He sold it when he got back and bought a bmw because it had become too heavy for him.
He now has terminal cancer but is still very much someone I look up to like i did when I was a kid.
I probably would not buy the new 350 but id i did it would be solely because of my impressions of Ken.

Honda Mexico has launched the CB350 H'Ness for the OTD price of 82,490 pesos or about $4,850. Comes in grey or black.

The CB350 has been a huge success in Mexico. Dealers have sold out so much so that Honda Mexico has temporarily taken the bike off their website. The dealer I have bought from in Monterrey got 6 earlier this summer and sold them right away. They anticipate getting more in December.

They are bringing the CB350 back for 2025 except it's not the CB350 but the GB350C, the third and last model in the range that is now sold in Japan and Australia. Adding insult to injury, Mexico is bringing in the lower trim version as well. Instead of color coordinated fenders, you get black fenders and a few other differences in finish as well. Good thing is the price remains unchanged at 84,490 pesos OTD or right under $4,200. Oh and 6 colors to choose from and they bring red and green. I know, I know: first world problems.

Yes it's a pretty sweet bike. Just keep in mind it's only 20 HP. I'm cool with it though.

Let me just get something out of the way: unless you are a Mexican citizen or resident with a valid address in Mexico, you can not purchase and title a motorcycle in Mexico. You can not cross the US border without a title, a plate, and insurance. I have been obsessing for the better part of the...
