Honda CB350(RS)/ GB350(S) - I bought one!

Oil and filter have been changed at 564 miles.

Michelin Road Classic tires have been mounted. What a difference. Bike turns better too.

Congratulations. Great looking bike. So you are now able to ride the bike for one year in the US and then have to return it? You cannot title and register it over here, can you? To do that usual vehicles need to be at least 25 years old.

The one year rule applies if US Customs ask you to get a permit. They just let us through. I cannot register the bike and have no reason to. I am not importing the bike. I’m just riding it. People drive/ ride US vehicles in Mexico all the time. The opposite is true. I’ve been buying bikes in Mexico for the past 10 years.

Let me just get something out of the way: unless you are a Mexican citizen or resident with a valid address in Mexico, you can not purchase and title a motorcycle in Mexico. You can not cross the US border without a title, a plate, and insurance.

Good point. Since i’m not a citizen or resident of Mexico I can not be the proud new owner of a much desired 2025 Suzuki Jimmy 4x4. I know it would be great here in Colorado. Anywho …

Congrats on the new bike and thanks for the ride review.

@cabanza pretty bike! Kinda reminds me of the Enfield Meteor 350 with a Bullet 500 fender on it! Very practical! I bet it's great around town! :sun:

You can go buy one in Panama. They are a lot cheaper than they are in Mexico:

I splurged on a set of YSS rear shocks. They arrived today. I'll try and put them on this weekend.

I have a KTM 390 Adv purchased in Mexico with Qualitas insurance. My Mexican plated cars have Qualitas insurance that include "civil responsibilidad" (third party liability) insurance coverage in Texas as required by Texas law. The KTM Qualitas policy does not include liability outside of Mexico. How did you obtain liability insurance as required by Texas on a Mexican moto? I've been stopped frequently in Webb county but to date the officer has not yet asked for proof of liability coverage in Texas. TIA

How did you cross into Texas without US insurance?

@cabanza My Mexican auto insurance policy (Qualitas) provides liability insurance when in Texas as required by Texas law. My Mexican moto policy does not provide liability insurance in Texas as required by Texas law. If I am stopped by the police in Texas in my auto, I provide my Qualitas policy and show them proof of liability insurance coverage when in Texas. If they do not understand Spanish, the policy has a 1 800 customer service number for English. I cannot purchase an auto policy with Qualitas for full coverage in Texas.

If I take my American motorcycle to Mexico or Europe, I purchase insurance over there so that my bike is covered in that country. Same thing with my Mexican bike. I purchase insurance so that my bike is covered in the US. Each time I have crossed the border into the US, I have been asked to show proof of insurance. I don't know how you get away with it.

Here is the coverage clause for third party liability in Spanish and English of my Nissan Kicks. Liability Combined Single Limit $100,000.00 third party Bodily injury and Property damage. I'm going to go to an insurance company today in Texas to confirm the limits are within the law. I just need the same for my Motorcycle but cannot find a carrier. Still looking.

There is a custom show called Wheels and Waves in France. The GB350S was used to create 11 custom bikes. The bike shows potential:

I really admire this one. Love the old school "Rothman's" paint scheme.

The H'Ness is back in Mexico! They now have the CB350 and the CB350 H'Ness. I honestly thought they would be bringing the CB350RS but that's not the case.

The H'Ness is cheaper than the CB350 too! And it comes in 3 colors.
