How much lower did you get it from stock?

edit - wait just saw the measurements up there. Seems I have not had enough coffee this morning to read details in plain sight :duck:

You say it was professionally lowered, but does that mean they fitted a shorter link (Meaning the rear wheel will now hit the underside of the bike, or was a modified shock absorber fitted? I am looking for a 250X to lower for my wife (want it lowered correctly as we do a LOT of DS riding and cant have the rear wheel hitting the underside of the bike when fully loaded) but was hoping to get something newer than a 2004? Let us know how the front and rear was lowered?

The dealer I bought it from in New Mexico had a good suspension guy do it.

Thanks, but unfortunately your answer only creates more questions!! Usually when you lower the front forks (USD forks) you fit a spacer inside the forks and then have to cut the springs shorter (Not reversible without new springs). Then the rear shock is a similar situation, you have to shorten the main shaft and spring, again this is not reversible in any way without a new spring and a new shaft, so really not sure what the mechanic did, but think I will keep looking for a more recent model (Don't want the Rekluse as they drag badly and make it hard to find neutral under normal riding (absolutely fantastic when in the woods, but a pain on dual sport bikes)).

Price just lowered. Priced less than what invested in after market parts on a great little used bike.
 
I am interested but also curious what method was used to lower the bike. Is there any way you could call the mechanic and verify?
