Ted,
Actually the Suzuki RE5 shares a lot of common parts with a WaterBuffalo.
The RE5 frame is actually a stretched version of the GT750.
The electricals are also big on commonality.
However....the styling is completely different...early Italian Spaceship !!!
This adds to the quirkiness of the whole bike along with the engine type.
There is a big following for this bike ...we have a mailing group and Yahoo discussion group, both of which stay pretty active.
There is also a dealer in Ohio that has all the new or used parts that you would ever need that he sells at very fair prices
All in all, its been a real fun experience studying this bike and restoring it to put back on the road.
Now all I need is some decent painting weather
