He had all kinds of other options other than dropping the bike and running. There was plenty room for him to ride between the truck in front of him and the car on the right to get completely out of the way.

There lives in northeast Arkansas and this is his gambler racing car that he's built and refined over the years.
Gambler racing from what he's told me second hand, is a combination of Burning man, rally racing, and picking up trash and recycling it while you race. People run everything from stock 4x4's, Nissan Sentras to station wagons to setups like this.
