Mar's gravity is only 38% of Earth's, you could get serious air, wouldn't hurt as much when you hit the ground.
 
You could ride an electric bike, but I wonder if it would be possible to put an oxygen injector in the intake of an internal combustion engine?
 
Apparently the average temp on Mars is -80 degrees, it can get to -195 in the winter near the poles. Heated grips at minimum.
