Enduro start 4 or 5 per row. A,B,C,D, and E. 30 is their row number. Unlike most forms of racing you don't pick your number in this. Also these letters have nothing to do with ability.

MX racing in my youth- don't miss it one bit and my body wishes that I never did. Harescrambles in my 40's & 50's - enjoyed it. Enduro's in my 40's & 50's's - LOVED IT once they changed to the EURO rules and miss competing in them every time I see a bike in the back of a truck.
 
This likely drunk driver rear ended this bike and the bike stuck in the grill. Bike was pushed 200 feet before stopping.Rider and passenger thrown off and in critical condition. Montgomery county. Prayers.
