This is a copy/paste from a post I put in the Concours mega thread a while back.

Hey there, COG members. Get your Summer edition of the Concourier yet? There is a "great" ( :trust: ) article in there that encompasses the COG, the Tour Of Honor, the Iron Butt Association, and the Kactus Kilo. Let me know what you think of it.

These types of rallies are more formally known as a "bridge" rally, designed to get you your miles needed for the certificate by forcing you to go to specific locations and perform specific acts (take a photo of the site with your flag and motorcycle in the photo). There is no planning required other than to show up.

As you begin to move up you can then do some mini-rallies such as the 4 hour one I'll be riding tomorrow morning where you are given a rally book with locations; an hour to plan your route; and then you're on your own to go make it happen.

Rallys can be anywhere from 4 hours to 11 days so there is something for everyone out there.

You'll notice that in the above photos, either myself or my wife is at least partially visible in each photo. When you ride two-up there are typically slightly different rules applied to the couple.

Hey Brian, the links for those images no longer work. When I click on them, I get a URL Expired error.
