Kurt / PRN Pictures

I've been meaning to swing by and shoot this train for a while. Unfortunately, it was fenced off so this was the closest I could get while holding the camera over my head and using live view.
Like the B&W treatment! We're neighbors - we should get together sometime for some photo talk.

I'd rather be out taking photos.....

Yep, I agree. Tripod or handheld? 85mm f1.8 lens, is that new?

Lake Travis is rockin'!

It has been ten years since they had three gates open and they may have to open all five if we get the rain forcast for later this week.

Wha??????
Canon EOS 5D Mark III
EF24-70mm f/2.8L II USM

.

The other pic looked to be with the 100-400mm he recently picked up.

It is back at B&H Photo. I bought it used and the auto focus (manual too for that matter) quit on the first day. I'm going to stick with the 70-200 and consider a teleconverter.

I was curious as to the effect of a flash on raindrops in the dark. Meh.....

I surmise those are not raindrops coming down. Rather, raindrops ON the lens face itself.

THESE are raindrops... :photo:

Nope. I'm guessing the flash made it appear there was no movement.

Hmmm.... Might have to go test that one myself as an experiment.

Your shot is 1/200 and mine is 1/500th. That's about all I can determine at this point and flash vs no flash for me. I'm guessing I'll have an opportunity to see in the next 24hrs!

Yep! I learned something new this evening. The flash does in fact freeze the raindrops.

Thanks!

Seconds to live:

About 20 seconds before the wasp spray was deployed.

That's a great shot.... I took one yesterday as well, of a much bigger casa, complete with inhabitants.

The 4th at my brother/sister-in-law's place.

My nephew and his band entertain.

Taking indoor photos sure presents it's share of lighting issues. The best picture I got of Rhonda's new (to her) bookcases and credenza was using overhead lighting.

Nothing special about this one. Just documenting the new scales for my Griptillian knife. I wanted something flatter than the OEM scales.
