Leasing land

Suggestions for going about this please. I am determined to find some land within an hour of me suitable for riding my db. Any info on how to accomplish this would be appreciated. I am going to start with a couple hunting leases to see if they would allow it. Just me, no others, not a group thing. Thanks.
 
You may want to start with the Tax Assessor in each county and find the mailing addresses of large parcels in your area, then send them a letter. An alternate might be to talk with the game warden, but some people who are leasing to hunters may not want to lease to riders as well.
