I might add here. The I'm a 46 waist with a 28 inseam. The pants are a 5x regular. Had I been store shopping when purchasing these. I would tried on a pair of the 5x short.

Yeah, decide carefully. You don't want those knee pads bunching up around your shin. You may have to go for a generic pair.
