Toughest border I've ever had to get through was leaving Morocco. And yeah...Algeria is a no go. The part she mentioned about immediatly knowing you're in a very different place is an understatement. Good people but it is a Muslim kingdom and most of what I saw was like 14th century. Their currency was worth around ten cents...very economical place to go play.
