My 9 years old son started riding

I love thus beach pictures ... scenery looks awesome as does the beach.

Nice playground for your son Trung and glad to see you're getting dirty with him as well now. Is that beach anywhere near where we rode to Phan Thiet? Do you have any trips planned to Da Lat to get some woods and mountain riding in? That's where I want to go after seeing Lam's trip photos. Let me know if you do as it might be time for me to start my dirt bike in a box shipping, haha

Yeah, it's very quiet beach. There are some fishers around only. When we came in, there was nothing on the beach, totally flat. We drawn lots of circle there then :)

Hi David, the beach is in Vungtau, around 25km from our breakfast place during the ride to Phan Thiet. We think about a Dalat trip during this Tet holiday, in the next two weeks time.
Just box it anytime you could, and we can go there without any issue. :rider:
Just a little alert to you, many foreigners came to Dalat and don't want to come back. They are staying there.

I think I've been to Vungtau.
Is this the beach town where there's a tall, white statue of the Virgin Mary holding up a small child? At the top of a mountain overlooking the Virgin Mary, there's a huge white cross?

We went for the Tet holiday (Vietnam lunar new year holiday) in Dalat and brought with our dirtbikes.
One of the videos taken during our enduro ride in Dalat.

Are you guys experiencing a drought?

We've had 5" of rain since about 2:00am this morning. It is still coming down...

I am afraid to look in my garage because water comes under the door when it rains really hard. Sometimes is gets a few inches deep and makes a real mess. Of course, when we bought the house, we were in the middle of a historic drought and the garage flooding issues were not readily apparent

It sure looks like he is gaining confidence and skill on the bike!

Not really a drought, Scott. Actually there two seasons in the area, dry and rain season.
It's end of dry season now, and the things look like that.
I am waiting for the first raining season for our dirbikes. That would be pretty fun. Let see what we can do with the mud :trust: :lol2: :rider:

Yeah, my boy gain a bit more confidence now. However I am quite disappointed that we do not have a pro-trainer here. All I can do is watching youtube and tell him what I saw and what I understood, sometimes let him join the track and listen to some players there. Be noted that all of them are all the same as me, self-trained people :zen:

Some days ago, same place, after a week with some rains...

Oh, we sold the yellow RM65 :)

And replaced it with...? :ponder:

I just worked a deal last night to trade our CRF50F for a Yamaha 110, plus a bit extra cash for it.

We leave Sunday morning with a trailer full of dirt bikes (and my GS) to head for the mountains of Arkansas for a week of riding! :rider:

Sold the RM65 and bought in a KX85 for him.
He is smallest guide, far right:

And many other trips

After some months focusing on his examination at school, the bike becomes small for him.

Just now bought another KX, KX125 for him. Still at the middle of restoration of the bike, not yet a ride out.

Man, he looks like he is having a great time!!

When did you drink the orange Kool-Aid?

So when you do those enduro trips with him, does it not matter that you are riding on roads with a bike that has no license plate? Here, that will get you in trouble. Riders have to have a motorcycle driving license and bikes have to be plated and registered to be street legal. Otherwise, you can only ride on private property or in designated off-road areas. I would love to take Daniel on rides like that but he can't be on the street because he is to young to have a license and his bike is not plated/registered.

Hey, I got this Ktoom for almost half year already. Actually this is 2nd time riding it. First time was playing on Vietnam desert about 2 month ago. LINK

When we do enduro trip, we almost ride offroad, almost no road riding. Just some very short segments from the base to the trail entry. And there is no requirement of registration for bikes which riding offroad here - obviously no police :)

Great pictures and I like a rider that keeps his bike clean!
