A long time cycling buddy of mine has made the leap over to the dark side.
Not familiar with the bike but that sounds pretty nuts if really that different and your were not exaggerating some. Not saying you are wrong, just don't know why Kawasaki would do that as they normally don't do things that make no sense.That is a good bike. Make sure he fixes the stock suspension before trying to jump it. It is sprung for a 200lb rider in the rear and a 130 pound rider up front stock. That means it will try to put you over the bars. Fork springs are an easy swap and will make it a way better ride.

Went out and rode with him on his property tonight.
We were weaving in and out of those three trees behind him. He was already doing it easily. Fast learner.
