If you want to get a copy of my book "Old Bikes" for a Christmas gift, I'll sign it and send it out within a day or two.

"A loosely cobbled-together guide to finding, buying, fixing, riding, selling and racing old bikes"

It's lightly technical, very general (non-brand-specific), somewhat entertaining here and there, includes a line drawing of a different bike on the first page of each chapter, and has a chapter on getting started in vintage bike racing.

$20 to your door in the U.S., a couple bucks more for international postage.

Paypal to grandpaulz at hotmail dotcom

Thanx, and Merry Christmas to all y'all.

I'm in - if nothing else it might get you cracking on that fabulous Triton build again!

A trip to NYC & back gave me ample to time to read the book which I thoroughly enjoyed. It's a great primer on entering the world of vintage and collectable bikes on a working stiff's budget. Included are lots of sensible, real world ideas and practices and you come away feeling like you could tackle a project.

Now if that RZ in SATX (see CL thread) were closer...

Just becasue we disagree on the best bike ever doesn't mean I don't appreciate your review ! (and your choice of best bike)
