1. We will have one new ASSIGNMENT thread, located in the Photography Forum for each new photo assignment. Assignments will be sequentially numbered to keep track of them. The ASSIGNMENT thread will be started to post the assignment, and be used for conceptual shots, discussion, prior work related to the current assignment etc.

2. A companion ENTRY thread will be created to run concurrently with the ASSIGNMENT thread for placement of your entry. Entries are restricted to one per participant per assignment. Please don't be 'that guy' and post more than one entry in the ENTRY thread. And don't comment in the ENTRY thread on any entry until a winner has been selected.

3. I'll start it off by choosing a theme for the first assignment. Your image must be submitted by midnight the last day of the assignment which will run about one month, to be considered for judging. Your photo entry must be taken between the assignment posting date and the assignment ending date.

4. After the assignment closes, entries after the closing date/time will not be considered for judging. The forum member who currently 'owns' the assignment will review the entries and make a selection on which on best met what they were looking for in the assignment. A critique of existing entries, or reason for the selection may be provided.

5. The new winner will then select a topic for the following assignment and post that assignment when they learn they have won (preferably within 72 hours). The new assignment will then run about a month to the next midnight deadline, and so forth.

6. The one in control of the current assignment may participate in the ENTRY thread, but cannot select their own entry as the winner.

7. If someone wants to use Photoshop/Lightroom or other software for post-processing activities, that will be allowed unless specifically stated it's not to be used. Please, no full blown AI creations.... This is about your ability to capture an image, not have a computer generate one.

8. Lobbying for one's own photo is not necessary. The picture should stand on it's own as it relates to the current assignment.

9. Creative interpretation of topics is encouraged. All forum rules apply regarding how appropriate a picture can be.


So in a nutshell.....
1. An ASSIGNMENT thread starts the new round off and is open for general topic discussion.
2. A companion ENTRY thread goes with the ASSIGNMENT thread started at the same time.
3. Post only ONE entry for you and no comment/text is allowed until AFTER a winner is chosen.
4. Assignments will run about four weeks.
