It depends on what you want to say with the picture.

The color picture emphasizes the warm red floor.

The black and white picture emphasizes the pattern of the tiles,
the spindles in the spindle back chair
and the geometry of the lights in the doors.

But I could be wrong, I often am.

Me personally, I like the B&W better. But that's just me - I got a thing for B&W pics, makes them look more elegant and refined. Also adds somewhat of either a somber or derelict feeling to the mood of the photo.
