Post your Day Rides Here!

Nice day to ride. Went thru Millsap and north to Cool then Garner and stopped to see a friend in Whitt for a few minutes. Had a good conversation. I continued thru Whitt then west to Oran. Then " gravel " old Christian road. Halsey ranch road. Barton's chapel and Rock Creek road then back on pavement down to Pk then down hwy 4 to Worth mountain to Chestnut mountain to Brazos. Up 281 and took Dobbs valley over to Millsap hwy. Back up the hill and to the house. Really good day to ride.

Saturday afternoon I took a spin through a few of the backroads in Bosque County - outskirts of Walnut Springs, Meridian, Clifton and down to Valley Mills following the North Bosque river (and crossing it a few times). Turned out to be a beautiful day after a rather dreary start in North Texas. Here are a few pics...

I recently Trade my 690 Duke for a bike that I did not want to plate for the street, 2 bikes is enough, I was looking to trade with a 2 stroke but this EM show up on Craigslist and I ask the owner if he was up for a equal trade, and it happen. EM 5.7 is a French company that make electric trial bike and this frame is base after sherco 300. I found some ride behind my house near Oak Hill, in the Williamson Creek. This thing is quiet and I can have some decent fun near by the charge under a hour and the battery can last for more then one hour depending on the speed. Top speed 35-40mph. it not made for speed it more for technical stuff a 300 2 stroke would have been fun for sure buy this is different enough from the other bike I own. I need to try Emma Long, maybe next week I never ride anything there maybe someone can introduce me to the ride, welcome to try the EM.

Very cool, I'm a fan of the electric motorcycles. I bet that one is a blast to ride.

It a strange bike for sure, but I think for technical slow speed it spot on, but no power shift 2 stroke pleasure. Welcome to try it

Went for a little ride this morning. Weather was overcast and windy.

Every proper adventure ride begins at Starbucks : ) Headed southeast out of Seguin on Capote road. CR 143 for some dirt. CR 256 for more dirt. Took a wrong turn somewhere and got off route. Ended up close to Palmetto State Park. Found CR 250 which was a fun dirt section. Phone/nav went dead. Did not have cable and adapter to charge : ( Made my way to San Marcos. Went by Herbert's to grab some lunch but it was packed so did not stop. Went to Chipotle by the mall and it was packed so did not stop. Took back roads back to Seguin.

The end.

Well, when pull in the driveway and the AT has been rolled out of the building, that means an afternoon of riding. The wife's first time to roll the AT out. Surprised me. We went down thru Bennet, the rock crusher then turned on some gravel east toward South of Brock. We took a whole bunch of little roads and finally to the Brock cut off at I 20 for coffee and ice cream. Rode some roads north of I 20 toward Weatherford then worked our way home. A fun afternoon. Rode about 70 miles and 3 hrs worth.

Now that's complete trust. You better keep her! 👍

First adventure on the new (to me) DR650. Had a nice time riding down to the Stockdale/Poth area and enjoying some of the dirt roads there before heading up to get a burger at Kirby's in Seguin. I learned today that the trail wing tires are horrible on grass. Decided to give a little shot of throttle to kick out the back end in a grassy area and just about dumped the bike. Luckily recovered and lesson learned.

I got out for a burger at the Greenwood Country Store... great day on the bike.

While I sat under the oaks across the street in the Greenwood City Park eating my burger & tots, I could hear some racing going on at the Eagles Canyon Raceway. I did a quick spin over to Forestburg & back, then rode over to ECR for a look see. They've put in some bleachers & a big observation deck overlooking the end of the straightaway going into turn 1 (?) since I was there last. Got to say, some of those dudes are pretty fast & it's obvious there's a LOT of $'s involved in that pastime. Fun to watch.

Man. I want to go on a ride like this. I want to get some gravel under the tires of my GS500. But I don't want to ride it on two hours of pavement each way to find the gravel. hm. I have a trailer and my parents have a place by Castell among 50+ miles of gravel to explore...
