Went to Yellville and back via Omaha, Lead Hill, South Lead hill, etc…250 miles or so, poured rain most of the day so all my gear got a good washing….

Took off this morning just as the blue hour was starting (before sunup). Went to the Longhorn Cafe in Bowie for Breakfast.

This is the two-egg plate, $5.50 for the breakfast and $1.00 for unlimited coffee.

Left there and rode to Post Oak,

Then over to Antelope,

Gas station has not been open for a few days, price per gallon was .71 cents.

We were there at Yale and Swift reservoirs right before it blew. Some of the roads were blocked. Past Swift reservoir, there is/was a FR that took you over to Carson City. Scenic country.

I bet that was an interesting experience. You were seriously close. I think I took those same roads. I crossed the Columbia at Hood River then rode to Carson, north to Swift reservoir and on up to 12, then west to Johnston ridge. This is my first time through this area. The scenery is absolutely gorgeous.

It was really interesting to observe the damage in that area. I kept trying to think of what it must have been like for Johnston or Truman as it came directly at them. It’s incomprehensible.

I recognized it too. pyroclastic flow,don't mess with mother nature. 1980?

I know what you guys are talking about. I've been working straight for the last 6 months and it seemed like I had a little time to myself today so I went out for my annual hotter than **** 150 (or so) run just to remind myself, despite air conditioning, I still live in South Texas.

They do call it adventure riding for a reason, I found a wind farm solar farm southwest of kenedy Texas that powers that air conditioning. Didn't know it existed. Doesn't look like all the photovoltaics are up yet on the solar farm but man that's a pretty **** big place also.

Went for an afternoon ride with my son. He was home and wanted to twist his wrist a little. We made a loop of back roads from the house. It was about 115 miles and took right at 3hrs. I enjoyed riding and seeing him out enjoying the time too. Had a mix of pavement, gravel and a little sand.
