An old high school buddy of mine from Germany took me out for my first ride since arriving in Colorado. We went down to Deckers, then made a long loop back to Denver. As you'll see in the video, the pavement disappears for a few miles. At 7:05, the dirt road pitched over into a 15% grade. Doesn't look like much on the vid, but looking over the handlebars, it definitely got my attention.
Unfortunately, I didn't notice that my camera unplugged itself, and the battery went down just before we got up into the switchbacks. Anyway, it was a nice rice southwest of the Denver area. I'm looking forward to a lot more day trips like this.
