Restoring my first touring bike, BMW R1100RT

Im trying my first restore/rebuild on a KTM 250 my son just parked outside. He brought here when they moved and I parked outside, covered but outside. I'll see how committed I can be while keeping costs in check.

Check the oil for contamination / water. If the oil is good, it can probably be recovered.

It may need a top end if the piston wrist pin bearing got dry and rusted but the bottom end bearings and transmission should be protected with oil.

You'll need to replace most bearings and seals. Parts won't cost much but the labor will be extensive.
