Rewind Stator

Does any one know of a place that can rewire a my stator off of my 78 CX500? The honda stealership wants 530$ for a new one... I have checked ebay for one to no avail, how about a bike salvage yard? Any help greatly appreciated.

they are showing 237.. which is a lot better than 500$. I guess I will have to bite the bullet pretty soon. Any one know of a place to get them rewound? I have heard of some places but there all over seas.

I think Stocker's Starters in California sells stators, too, not sure... http://www.stockers.com/ Good source for starters at any rate.
