Yet another great RMR made even better with glorious weather from Father God and Mother Nature. Thank you Cynthia, Randy, Kat, Marty for organizing/facilitating and all those that assisted.

This weekend went way too fast....

Rendezvous Time!!! Rich Mountain Rendezvous - Sept. 14-17, 2017

Had a great time and weather was perfect. Found some nice dirt on the way up.

What do you do when the road ends and the bridge is out?

Gary, hold my bike so I can take a pic:

The mighty NC made it over....red rover red rover, let the gsa come over

Does he make it?

Of course he does

Brad gave Gary a quick lesson Saturday morning

First he gets to crash Brad's bike

Then the gsa takes it's first nap

(gary bought the gsa 3 weeks ago, so this was all kind of new to him)

Looks like he has the falling down part mastered.
Tuck and roll! Tuck and roll! Then JAZZ HANDS! :lol2:

Gary, we laugh only because we have all done that same thing. A lot. OK, some of us a lot more than others but still...

I'll get my pictures up later today. I made it home, spread out my damp camping gear, showered then sat down with a cold glass of water and beer and was pretty much useless the rest of the evening. :-)

Had a good time. One thing I like about this is it is a good mix of new people and familiar faces. That and it is a good cause. I like have more reason that just going riding and camping.

LOST AND FOUND ALERT!

I have a black fleece Bass Pro Shops jacket (L) that was left behind. If it's yours, let me know and I can mail it to you. Or if you're close enough, I can hand it to you!

+1 We too will plan to return.

Any pictures of the tiddler run?
Looking fwd to WoodButcher's pics. With limited routes sheets available (a victim of Friday morning's saturating wet fog), I focused on directing the Tiddler to the Top route and didn't take but one pic. Participating bikes included Trail 70/90/110, XR100, TW200, 2-up Vespa scooter and a couple of Ural sidecar rigs running support. I suspect there were some doubts at the start, but all finished.

Here is the Tiddler group at 3 Sticks:

Friday's off-pavement Tiddler ride was a treat as well, with the unexpected addition of riding pointers from Brad and culinary pointers from Dan & Pam.

Great photos!

I didn't get to the front of the line to get video of the tiddler departure so it's great to see these. Nearly busted a gut when Harold came tearing after everyone on his buzzsaw :lol2:

Thanks, Lee, for putting it all together and diving in to lead after the wind and some surprise rain changed all our plans (and taught a valuable lesson).

Sunrise on Saturday:

Stars and some faint milky way on Friday night:

Some bugs (I have tons of butterfly shots, thanks to Snoopster, but haven't uploaded them yet)

Fog and lunch on Friday:

The bike that didn't make the Tiddler run:

The Internal table. In chatting, Andre was surprised how many of us were born outside of the US. So we got a group shot.

Beer and Wine with the brains behind the rally.

Cynthia telling us a tear jerker:

And the Saturday evening entertainment:

Early Sunday morning:

Thanks for making me feel at home. I would think y'all didn't like me if you didn't harass me now and then.

BTW...just got access to the forum! Was great meeting some of you last weekend.

I should have mentioned that if any of you want a copy of a picture I linked, just send me a PM with an email address and I'll send you one without the watermark.

It should be noted, that this picture includes an Honorary Foreigner from Shiner the Texas Beer Capital.

Great pictures Rusty.

Here is a link to a video I did. Photos are definitely my strength, not video and not editing. Kat is going to tweak it some later, I think.

It starts with the music for the evening, then cuts to some drone footage. It was so windy I only flew it once and didn't capture much. I kept thinking I'd get better conditions and never did.
