Howdy,
These are some rides (and roads) that i have gone on recently. I've put some notes on what i've thought of the roads. I live in Bryan / College Station and the routes start & end there, but many of the roads are close to Houston.

Click the individual maps to see the detailed directions:

Can read the notes or see the route very well in the image. Looks like you have your 'slash' going the wrong direction in the path to your full size map image that is suppose to appear at the top of your detailed route.

Example:
Should be:<img src="College Station south 11-26-06_files/image_map.gif">
You have:<img src="College Station south 11-26-06_files\image_map.gif">

Also, it is better to use underlines instead of spaces in your folder and file names. Finally, MSFT Streets and Trips will show the Farm-to-Market roads at 90 mi zoom.

It seems to be working for me:

link to the large image for the 11/26/06 ride:

The format is not real pretty, i'll redo some things when i get some more time. I'm redoing a lot of things on my site.

Thanks for the feedback :)

In your second post, you are using the correct slash in your path. Check your website from the link you posted and you will find that when you click on the images, you do not get the full size image above your detailed route. You just get an unresolved image placeholder.

PS...the underlines are not for beauty, but to avoid problems.

I like the addition of the comments. Nice touch.

Nice work! :thumb:

BTW, I couldn't get the full-size images on your site to display until I replaced the characters %5C near the end of each URL with a single forward slash.

Concerning your 11/26 ride route, consider using William Penn Road to connect from Hwy 105 across to the 90-degree turn on FM 390. It'll cut out a few miles of relatively boring, straight roads.

I know this thread has been inactive for over 10 years, but just wanted to say thanks. Headed up to CS with the Wife for a vet conference, hauling my new FJ-09 up, and this info was exactly what I was looking for. Keeping those maps available is a big help. :)

166 out to Caldwell is fun. I always take that when heading to Austin from Huntsville.

Tanks, TM. Looks very nice...I may have to give that a run. :)
