Another year of RTB has come and gone and in a lot of ways this may have been the best RTB yet. The good news is that no deer were injured by a motorcycle all weekend and, as suspected, the Donkey Hats all displayed their Donkey Hats. Quite proudly and with large gestures towards which bikes not to follow. It sorta worked.

The bad news is it's over and it'll be a full year until RTB 5.

Anyway, enough with the words nobody will read and on to what really matters. Pictures!

Here's Ken showing everyone how NOT to pick a line.

Dodey shows us how to get a Polaris stuck.

Here's one of the ceremonial barcaloungers being hauled in on a Transalp.

is the super 10 still stuck out there or did a friendly local have a excavator to dig it out with?

Excavation video is on the way. Here's how it traveled home. Duct tape really can fix everything.

And here's part 1. Getting Ghost's Polaris unstuck. One thing at a time.

i sure hope there are TONS of pictures!!!

I mostly took video. I forgot my real cameras so everything I have is with the cell. I did get my hands on Dodey's camera for a second at the hill. Hopefully he'll post those soon.

Went over and hit the boulder. Broken bark buster and broke off clutch hand lever.

Looks like he lost his front wheel. Wrong.
Can you say just like quick sand.
He went over the front and broke off the head light, instruments,
and wind screen. He was OK luckily.

This was Coby our local tour guide.
A great kid but he says he rides his four wheeler
without a helmet. I tried to talk him into
wearing a helmet but he was not buying it.

Dody, Tom and all of the others did a fantastic job.
Great food, fantastic routes and a great place.
I met a lot of great folks and had an unbelievable time.
Thanks so much for putting this on.

In other news, I. Am.One .Tired.Dude. Apparently 3 hours a night is not quite enough sleep for a slowoldguy anymore. Who knew? Dody and I just got off the phone. RTB5 planning has begun. Let's just see what kinda crap we can throw at y'all for next year. We gots plans. lol

BobbyJ ( who wrote our WWP personal testimonial) and his lovely wife Stephanie want me share their gratitude for the support the attendees showed WWP. Like every year so far, our WWP raffle just keeps gets bigger and better.

The great folks at Cli-Max moto gear (Terry and Dianne Ramsey ) were equally impressed. And loved the barbeque . We can't pull this off without great sponsors and great volunteers and we appreciate you all.

As a personal note from me, not the Rally, I know that I'm "direct" in my delivery. And just a bit profane. And maybe a lot irreverent. Or vice versa. ;) If it offended you, that's all on me. Not the Rally.

To the attendees. This Rally is a labor of love for a small group of like minded friends. Plenty of labor and plenty of love . We are glad to share what we have.

"Adventure in your own backyard." That's our story . Our backyard ain't that bad, is it? Hope y'all agree and hope to see all of y'all again next year. For a bigger and better RTB 5. The slowoldguy

How many wrecked bikes and broken bones does this rally average?

lol Now why would you be asking that on this thread? Today? pm incoming.
Answer:

"Not any more or any less than would be expected at any similar event involving dual sport riding and a lot less than at an off-road riding event."

And , if you'll recall....you've been before and told me you had a great time. Call me for more info. We'll do lunch. ;)

More pics!!!!

"Children at play." Dody suggested that sign might be kinda fitting . We love fun and hate rules. Fight the nanny state! Burn all the Barcaloungers !!

Edited photo for us cell phone folks .

Thanks to all who made RTB 4 happen. This was my first year and I had a blast. Can't think of one negative concerning the event. I will do my best to make all future RTB events. Everyone was super nice and I thoroughly enjoyed myself.

This was my second RTB and I had a fantastic time, thanks to Dody, Tom and volunteers that put so much work to make this happen.
Had two full days of paved riding with old and new friends; glad I could make it and hope to participate next year.

Thanks, DRZBri. Every time I saw you it looked like you had found your "peeps". And remember , it was you who helped me scout the single most favored RTB4 Rally Raid road. Where I promptly ejected my iPhone from its Ram iPhone ejector. Never to be seen again . :)

The scouting was almost as fun as the event but I am pretty sure you would have found the road with or without my help. Hopefully I can help more next year. I met so many great folks this weekend I can't wait for the next. Oh yeah, and I owe you lunch on our next ride. Thanks Tom.

Speaking of DRZBri. Here we are waiting on Urals on the iphone eating 1145 loop.
