I've been holding onto some sl350 piston rings and pistons for an overhaul since 2012. After removing the rings from the box and setting them on an air conditioned desk for the last month, I noticed some surface rust. Guess I should have dipped them in a little oil but I didn't. Just a heads up for you guys who have projects that get delayed. Maybe it's best to open them when they arrive and coat them with oil to keep them until install.
