Great day in the Sam, very few puddles, skirt by them. No slick spots. 53*. Not sure it gets better than this. Packed sand is great. Did the balloon loop, enough for an old man alone! My bike wasn't washed when I started and that's as dirty as it got. Hard to believe it got 3 inches Sunday morning. Whoops are way easier but still kick my butt and have to sit down and roll some.

volunteers getting it done! Little before and after photos. They're not making the trail wider, its to open sight lines to see oncoming bikes. It does help.

This was not the day to take chances, lol.4 game wardens, Montgomery county sheriff, and Walker Constable. All hanging at 208 trailhead except the one at 1375 with 3 nonplated dirtbikes. Ticketbook in hand. I'm betting they were checking everything. You just never know when they decide to crack down. One rider I talked to thought there was a runner, so everybody pays. Glad I was on the 650. It leaves no doubt it's legal.

Do you know if they still write you up for riding across 1375 on a non-plated bike where the trail crosses?

Good question, I always ride across. I have heard the New Waverly constable stopped a group one day doing it. Story is he held them to the Ranger came. He just tols the guys to be careful and have a good day. Guess if I was crossing and saw an officer I might walk it. I don't like trouble.

Sounds like the same story I heard and yeah, if I noticed someone monitoring, would do the same thing. Problem is, by the time it registered in my brain, it would be too late.

Constable,,,,,,surprising how often their name is Barney.

saw a pic of a SxS stuck in a creek crossing the other day... ugh... that's how trails get closed too

How could he have thought he could get up that bank? The front wheels aren’t going to lift the front end enough to keep it from hitting the bank.
