Just to let folks know a section of Kelly Pond Trail on the MUT will be closed for a short time to allow for needed tread repairs. You can find the details here:

I know this is knocking volunteers but they're just doing FS instructions. But they're building roads and dangerous rocks. These photos are supposed to be single track.

The matting I THINK they cover with dirt. So far the rocks have stayed exposed.

Went out late morning to run 1 loop then go to store. The dirt was so good and very few puddles I just cruised through trailhead and did the longer loop. So 30 miles solo, non-stop except helping a Ducati X get over a big log. He was in a bad way. Luckily another rider showed up, much stronger than me. We were able to get him over. Very fun day.

Never know what they'll dump in the forest! Can't believe Matt actually sat on it. But then again, he's riding a KTM product!

You never know; it probably had more critters in it before it was dumped. :lol2:

Just a heads-up, I was just riding forest service roads but go by at every trailhead. She was walking the pits hitting every rider. I don't see this very often.

So, the weather that passed through yesterday didn’t affect the trails?

I didn't ride trails, just roads on the 850. Trails were open but looked pretty sloppy and slick! lol. Some guys I talked to loved it, others loaded up and went home! lol

I figured as much, just kinda surprised they didn’t close everything. Personally, I kinda like it sloppy; the sand is packed and boys have to play in the mud ever so often. :lol2:
