CLOSED TRAILS:

MULTI-USE TRAILS (MUT):

EASTSIDE:

  • Lake Loop
  • YCC

UPDATE Feb 19, 2026: The Forest Service contracts for 18 bridges on Lake Loop and YCC, and tread hardening on Lake Loop, have been released for contractor pre-solicitation.

Encouraging news but something tells me it'll be a long time off before we ride Lake Loop again.

Pretty good sized fire burning in the northern area of the forest just east of 1791this afternoon . If its a prescribed burn I wonder how many acres of private land will get torched . Ive seen that north boundary fence and it ain't going to stop the flames or even slow it down. specially with a fairly strong south wind

Have seen multiple NF pres fires get out of hand. History tells me the NF is foolhardy in this regard on a regular basis. Severe wind warnings in effect and they just follow the schedule, toopid.

Closure isn't management!

Don't dare ride without a spark arrestor, but the forest service does this! Not being political, understand the reasoning. Just weird.

If verified that is the first actual fire from a 2-stk I have seen in fifty three years. Now I'm wondering if they will close the forest until it rains again. Hmmm

I’m not saying it couldn’t happen, but like Irish said, I’ve never heard of a confirmed incident of motorcycle exhaust discharge causing a forest fire. The odds of it happening are practically non-existent.

Went out yesterday for a short ride, getting hot(need to go earlier now) and it's very dry. Summer sand already!

This weekend could be the last hurrah for riding dirt

New one on me, from a good friend's ride yesterday! BTW, Fatman is a joke, he's extremely fit. Over 60 guy.

"Fatman ran out of luck today . Bounced from one side of the trail to the other. Broke off my front fender, it's above Leon in a tree. It that down tree with my leg. It's going to leave a bruise"

One of the trail sections is named Sandy. At this time that applies to whole forest!
