It's been over 24 hours since I've been able to live vicariously through you fine gentlemen. I'm having withdrawals.

Nice! You guys got some surprisingly decent weather for camping. It was hot and humid in this part of the country just a few days ago.

Call it 1450 miles door to door.
Mad props to the scooter cannonballers and other big mileage scooter riders, but I have better tools in my garage for the job. I enjoyed the company and the scenery, but my *** HURTS. Also, full gear and gulf coast humidity is miserable. And it never got above 93 degrees.

Apologies, Rever decided it didn't like me yesterday and I didn't see the point today, blasting straight up the highway.

Well, it was an experience. Great riding companions. Door to door 1525 miles. Scenery was awesome, east Texas woods and coastline was great. I was surprised a little as the Rally done great. Needs a better seat for that kinda distance. Learned some this trip from Steve and Phil about scooters.Steve schooled me about the Rally, discussing motors and fuel range. Habits are hard to break, I am still on 2-bar fill up mode. But, I now know I have good bit of fuel range. Enjoyed Steve's stories on Baja Racing.

I have been running scenarios this morning, point to point, as close to the west Texas border as I could. It's quite a few miles but doable. Mostly within fuel range. I mapped it to El Paso, just because I haven't ridden from El Paso east on 62 or 180 I guess. I went around the panhandle back down to Childress. Something to think about.
