A funny thing happened in the 20 or so years since I first met Scott Friday.... When first asked, in the infancy of the internet, for a username...naturally....I was confused. They said, "Don't use your real name, Stay anonymous online". So in my best (Flight of the Conchords) speak and spell voice I said, "Shaddock-plus-Hu-man-equals-ShadMan". And so it was for 2 decades on a bunch of motorcycle forums. But now, the Shaddock Humans are dead.

Recently my online profile name has been assumed by what some might call a pervert. Not your average pervert, but a real pervert. Sad to say, but mentioning the username Shadman to anyone under 25 will elicit laughs, whoops, and "WHAAAATTTTT????" responses. Why? It is a worldwide thing. From the interwebs...

The term Shadman refers to the pornographic and explicit webcomics of Swedish artist Shaddai Prejean, who goes by the online handle Shadbase. The Shadman meme is used as a reaction to the shocking nature of his artwork.

So, having been enlightened by my 16 year old son's group of (very solidly entertained) "Burger King Friday" after school dining group, I am changing it. Shad (dock-Hu) man has switched to Mextrekadv. This reflects the fact that MY worst addiction is Mexico Trekking Adventure motorcycles in Mexico, with a big group of friends. And it matches my email at gmail.

Binary solo 000001, 0000001, 1, 001, 001, 001. Shadhuman is dead.

I understand Peter. I used to tell my children that mom and I were 'hooking up' at the mall, movie theater, restaurant (or wherever). They would stare at me with that look only your kids can give you. And then I would say they could invite their friends if they wanted, and my kids would stare in horror.

It wasn't until later my son informed me that hooking up meant having a quick romp with someone. Oops, that explains the looks.

Funny things happened today. For starters, I discovered Tenacious D. I haven't been a big Jack Black fan, though I loved his lofty work in Jumangi. I think I need to go back in time and figure this out. Then I got poisen ivy. Fun times.
