Wife and I are on a short camping trip with our grandson, at Lake Corpus Christi State Park. In the nearby town of Mathis, we found Smolik's Smokehouse. Mercy. Catfish and brisket and sides were wonderful!!

Well, I ate at Lil Joes in Rosebud TX today and the sliced brisket sandwich was awesome and only $8.xx Just cannot go wrong, for less than the price of McDonalds. Helped some folks unload and stack about half a cord of split oak before I left, as it was getting warm and the old guys wife did not look too happy with her role being 70+. I get it ...
