May need fuel pump or fuel filter mod.

K&N air filter is clean
Valve clearances were checked & found to be within spec when the bike was parked in 2017 to diagnose elect problem.

Chain & sprockets appear to be in good cond.
Front & rear brake pads are in good cond. Replaced by current owner..along with wheel bearings.
Steering head bearings hav been replaced at appx 55K

Avon Storm tires look close to new but hav dates from 2014

Only the r/h orig style mirror

Orig owner bought this bike when he retired. Outfitted it with luggage..a Corbin seat (which he proceeded to wear out) & the tall shield. He then visited each state capital across the US. & ..Took 2 trips up to Alaska. Most of the mileage was from the highways.
Current Owner bought this bike from the 1st owner in 2013 with 69K miles. Engine does not burn any oil.
Bike was running fine when the elect problem happened. Main fuse blown & new battery dead.
Stored since 2017 when owner bought a Tenere
I have checked prices for a updated stator $70-80...good quality regulator rectifier $60-70...& a 210+ cca battery $70-80

If I buy the elect parts & install to make the engine run the price will increase by $500-700
The bike will still need some other maint though.

Suzuki didnt offer another yellow 1000 Strom until 2018...these 03s look great & this one is original.

If you would like more detailed info or xtra pics...jus ask....

Yellow was a first production year color for the CBR600RR. I think they offered a mostly yellow one in 07 or 08 but it wasn't the gorgeous metallic yellow mine was. Sorry, that little tidbit about this being the only year for the yellow for quite a while made me nostalgic. I wish I hadn't sold that bike.

Hey, I looked them up, looks like Ron Ayers has the signals, cost $210.00 or so, but available. Can you look inside the gas tank, get a picture? Maybe sample the fuel? I changed the fuel pump on one and it was pricey from Suzuki.

Doug...Ive had the tank opened up & old fuel drained. There looks to be some light rusting on upper inside (tank half full when stored). The fuel pump doesnt look too good either...but a lot of that is prob varnish. I do have 2 other fuel pump assys that were removed around 2010 from mine & MrgreenGenes Stroms. Filters clogged. Might be used for parts.

Thank you Doug. I hear you are amazing at getting them tuned properly...

Glad to see it go to a good home! This was my dad's first modern bike that I bought for him and it served him well for a long time.
