Well, you can spray yourself as you ride down the road. Works better than sucking and spitting. Plus you can get a filter attachment to purify the water so you don't have to pump it through a purifier first to refill.

Last time that I felt inclined to actually do any hot weather rides, I had a Camelback with two water bladders full of ice water.. One to drink, and another to cool down. Blow in through the bite valve to inflate and now you can just squeeze the valve to hose off while moving.
